Faith’s Reach Mari can use touch effects at a range of 30 ft. If a touch attack was required, she requires a ranged touch attack.
Maribesana (Mari) is a powerful priestess of Besmara from Sasserine. She grew up on the streets of the Shadowshore district, having lost (in the literal sense) her mother when she was quite young. Attempts to determine her mother’s fate via divine magic have failed. Her first true love was Brissa Santos, but the two grew apart over time. She joined up with Heinrick and Arien after the disaster at Kraken’s Cove and helped save Lavinia during the Bullywug attack. Subsequently she signed on to the Journey to the Isle of Dread on the Sea Wyvern as its first mate.
During that journey she grew close to Arien, and she was devestated by his death. Subsequently she developed feelings for Katrina Islaran that remained hidden until the Storm when she revealed them – and subsequently leaped overboard to rescue Lirith Veldirose. She did not resurface again until after Katrina and Heinrick had been lost to The Void.
Mari participated in the Battle of Farshore, the rescue mission to the Pools of Truth and Beauty in the depths of Opar, the raid on the Lost Temple of Demogorgon, and in the Madness in Sasserine adventure. She is presently living under a curse from Besmara for her lack of devotion that prevents her from being healed by magical means (a curse which nearly killed her after an encounter with a sewer monster).
Mari is presently in a committed, if not purely monogamous, relationship with Katrina Islaran.
